Hijab is an Arabic word, which means to cover or veil. Hijab basically is a veil which covers the head ,hair and neck of a woman’s body. Its is acover which is worn by Muslim women in the presence of Na-Mehram , a non-related adult male. Though a wider meaning is given to it by different scholars however, generally Hijab is given the wider meaning of modesty, privacy and morality. On the contrary the word hijab is not used in the Holy Quran instead the word Hijab, the Jilbab and Khimar is used in the Holy-book for Hijab. The literal meaning of the word Hijab in Arabic means to curtain or to cover. In most of the Muslim countries hijab is basically consider the type of modest dressing used to cover the whole body of a female,with the exception of hand, face and feet.
